New SMARTMark Security Feature Easy to Validate – Hard to Duplicate

IDP is pleased to launch our new SMARTMark security feature! This new enhanced security feature is similar to a watermark or a color-shifting ink and will add an additional layer of security to your Photo IDs

The SMARTMark element can be an image, a logo, static text, or variable text. IDP can assist in the creation of your custom image or you can choose from one of the images we provide for free.

SMARTMark Security has three options:

SMARTMark Security – uses the printers standard “O” panel from the YMCKO ribbon. The printer uses the O panel to print an image or text while still maintaining the cards full protection against dye-migration and fading. The final printed effect is similar to a latent holographic image SMARTMark UV Security – uses the YMCFKO UV ribbon and the printer uses the F (florescent/ultraviolet) panel to print an image or text. The final printed effect is invisible to the naked eye but is easily recognized by trained staff using a UV / black light. SMARTMarkOP Security – uses a YMCPKO pearlescent ribbon and the printer uses the P (pearlescent) panel to print an image or text. The final printed effect is similar to a color- shifting ink seen on currency or other government documents. These highly secure features are inexpensive and easy to implement by uploading bitmap images to IDP SMART driver or by using IDP SMART iDesigner credential software.
